Happy New Year!
We would like to wish all of our 2011 customers a very happy New Year, and look forward to seeing you again in 2012. 2011 was a very busy year for us, with the Christmas period fully booked by early October (we could have filled a cattery twice the size), and bookings for 2012 are already growing steadily. If you want to be sure of booking a room for your cat(s) when you go on holiday this year, please book early.

Due to the withdrawal of the cheque guarantee card and the cost of bank charges, we regret that we can no longer accept cheques for under £50.

Because we are now so busy, we are sorry but we are no longer able to offer collection and delivery as a standard service.

Fairmile Cat Hotel
Luxury Cattery in East Devon
Are you looking for a cattery in Exeter? Or perhaps a cattery in Honiton? The Fairmile Cat Hotel is a luxury boarding cattery in Ottery St. Mary in the East Devon countryside providing a superior standard of accommodation, tasty nutritious meals and high quality personal service. We would like to think that we are the best of all the local catteries in Devon. Situated only a 1/2 mile from the A30 at Patteson's Cross, the Fairmile Cat Hotel is 1 mile north of Ottery St. Mary, 5 miles west of Honiton and only 12 miles east of Exeter. So if you are looking for a cattery in Sidmouth or a cattery in Budleigh Salterton, we could be just what you would like to give your cat a great holiday. Some of our customers recognise the quality of care we provide and came to us in preference, say, to a cattery in Lyme Regis or a cattery in Axminster. Our catchment area also includes Seaton, Chard, Ilminster, Talaton, Feniton, Bluehayes, Whimple, Farringdon, Woodbury Salterton, Cowley, Pinhoe, Whipton, Broadclyst, Sowton, Heavitree, Brampford Speke, Offwell, Alfington and Cullompton.
Double Suites
Each unit has a heated private inner bedroom and a spacious open play and activity area
One of the most important part of making your cat’s stay an enjoyable one is having a bright, clean and comfortable room to stay in.
In our newly built Pedigree Pens cattery, we have 20 suites each designed to give 2 cats sharing plenty of room. Each suite consists of a bedroom and play area. Six of these units also open up into 3 family suites for up to 5 cats.
The private insulated inner sleeping area has its own slim-line panel heater to keep your cat cosy during the colder weather, and is ideal for the elderly, infirm or impaired cat as there is no ladder to climb to get to bed - a kind of bungalow for cats! We can customise sleeping arrangements as necessary but generally there is a shelf area with easy clean bed and soft cosy fleece blankets for each cat. To help the timid and nervous or elderly cat we also have heated bed pads just to settle them in a little - or even a box to hide in till they feel brave enough to relax and enjoy their stay. Feliway spray is also available to help calm nervous or frightened pets.
A cat flap leads out from their private bedroom to the main spacious activity area, with their own litter tray discreetly available. The cat fountain is also placed here - cats generally dislike having food and water adjacent. Climbing and scratching furniture is provided as well as a chair for general lounging and watching activities as each pen overlooks the tranquil dedicated bird garden with its waterfall and bird feeders - a great place for cuddles and grooming! It is here also that daily one to one play time happens and puzzles are set for your cat at their level that keeps them alert and interested and using all those instincts they usually use when they are out and about at home.
The floors all through the cattery are tiled with non-slip tiles for optimal hygiene and safety.
Everything is of course provided (other than prescription diets and their own medication) but if you would like to bring bedding or a favourite toy then please do if it will help your cat settle happily.
Family Suites
For the multi cat household
We have 6 double rooms that have removable panels which can convert to 3 very spacious suites that will happily hold up to 5 cats from the same household. Each cat, of course, has their own bed and an appropriate number of litter trays in case of problems of cat hierarchy together with enough room to have their own safe place.
